Webcast Services For Your Organization -- The Good And The Bad
Many webcast services promise the same thing for your business or organization -- the ability to craft an excellent sales message, upload it to the Internet and offer it to a worldwide audience. The idea here is that all of these new people will see your sales message and want to buy your product.
In theory, it's a good idea. Simply find webcast services to create, upload and promote your video, and kick back and wait for the bucks to roll in. However, in practice it's not so simple. In this article, I will discuss with you some of the webcast services, as well as what realistic expectations you should have when using these webcast services.
A webcast is simply a way to broadcast your message with video and/or audio, with your message being delivered on the Internet. Since there are variety of beneficial situations where you may want to utilize this technology, there are also a variety of webcast services that will help you make this happen.
For example, you can record a meeting, and then broadcast it live to all of your employees or shareholders. Or, you can communicate with your vendors by a webcast. Finally, you can create messages for your customers and prospects. These are just a few ways you can use webcasts. In each of these scenarios, you go through three main steps when creating a webcast -- first, you write and record the message. Second, you upload it and host it somewhere on the Internet. Third, you get people to come and watch the webcast. Additionally, you may want to create a conference with your webcasts. Here, in live time you can interact back and forth with those who are watching the video. In this case, it is like having a live meeting, because you can see each other and communicate in real time. This is perhaps the most complex of all webcast services. In any case, you have options available to you from any of the three steps we discussed above, to even an "all in one" option. There are variety of different companies that offer webcast services from creating your message all the way up to getting it on the Internet and promoting it for you. However, don't expect miracles to occur. There are so many webcasts now available that it can be overwhelming to the end-user. Plus, some people still do not understand the technology. This means you should invest shrewdly at first, until you learn the ropes when it comes to webcast and webcast services.
